I love bedtime stories and music. I think I can still remember Daddy and Mummy reading me stories and playing baby lullabies at night. Anyway, I'm now sound asleep after discharged from hospital in the morning. Doctor said my jaundice level is now at a more healthy level of 8.6. Daddy will sayang me to sleep later.

I Got Jaundice

On 19 March, Mummy and Daddy brought me to Dr Ong for check. After doing a blood test (I very strong, I din cry), Dr Ong exclaimed my jaundice level 19.1. So high, Mummy I'm scared.

No choice, I have to be admitted for at least two days. Hmm, at least Mummy and Daddy will have some good rest while I stay at the hospital for couple of days.

My 1st Outing: Parentcraft

Mummy decided to visit Parentcraft today. Her teacher, Mrs Wong Boh Boi is very famous for preparing parents-to-be on baby care. That's where Daddy learned to carry me, change my diapers and swaddle me. Mummy also learned how to endure contraction and deliver me and I think she did very well, considering I was born in under 10mins after full dilation.

Today, Daddy brought me and Mummy to Parentcraft because Mummy produced too little milk for me to suckle. Cannot blame Mummy because problem no.1 is I don't know how to suckle well. No one taught me so also cannot blame me. The other problem is there is not sufficient milk for me. Anyway, it's just one day after I discharged.

Never mind Mummy, we all learn together.

The caring midwife cleaned and put me in a cot.


Hooray! I've come to this world.

Baby Bryan is born!

Hi, my name is Baby Bryan. I am born on 14 March 2008.

Poor Mummy Melody suffer contraction plus some water bag leakage since the afternoon before and Auntie Grace advised Daddy to bring Mummy to hospital.

At midnight on 14 March, Mummy and Daddy reached the hospital and Mummy Gynae's Dr Adrain decided to let Mummy go ahead with the contraction.

At about 3am, they moved from the observation ward to the normal ward but barely an hour later, Mummy's contraction became more frequent and they transferred back to the observation ward again. Mummy is now 1cm dilated.

6am: Mummy wanted epidural as contraction became every 2 minutes.

7am: Don't feel the contraction anymore although still present. Dilation still 1cm.

10am: Dr Adrain came and encouraged Mummy. He said baby will definitely be born today earliest around 5pm. Dilation now 4cm.

12noon: Daddy hungry so went for a bite.

1pm: 2nd dose of epidural.

1.30pm: Nurse suddenly exclaimed dilation already 10cm! Immediately started to prepare birth ward. Mummy became very frightened. Daddy kept consoling Mummy and in the meantime talking to me, encouraging both of us to be strong.

1: 50pm: Dr Adrain came to examine Mummy. He said can touch my head. Then he asked Mummy to start pushing and will come back again shortly.

2pm: Nurses said Mummy doing so well that they asked Dr Adrain to come back again immediately. Mummy continued to push.

2:13pm: I was born! Dr Adrain delivered me and carryed me to elated Mummy and Daddy. Daddy also cut my umbilical cord for Stem Cord cord blood banking.
